We are currently seeking single operating Flight Attendants for a full-time position at our CALGARY base, operating on our WestJet Link Network. Pacific Coastal Airlines is headquartered at the South Terminal, in Vancouver. Under the Pacific Coastal banner, we fly scheduled and charter services between busy international airports, remote destinations, and beautiful communities. Our CAPACITY PUCHASE AGREEMENT with WestJet, known as WestJet Link, allows us to open up even more operational opportunities, and create an exciting and challenging experience for candidates desiring to be a part of the Pacific Coastal team Cabin Safety Team.

Flight Attendant Initial Training commences January 22, 2024.

Must be able to attend 4-5 weeks of Flight Attendant Initial training in both Calgary and Vancouver.

Job Description

  • Attend daily pre-flight safety briefings
  • Ensure the safety, security and comfort of all passengers
  • Ensure all safety equipment is checked prior to departure and monitored during the flight
  • Greet passengers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Explain safety procedures, demonstrate the use of emergency equipment, direct passengers in event of emergency
  • Complete onboard announcements
  • Provide onboard service of snacks and beverages, and ensure that all necessary supplies are on board
  • Administer first aid to passengers as required
  • Submit reports on the cabin condition, as well as on any medical situations or events that may have occurred during the flight
  • Honor and contribute to Pacific Coastal Safety culture and safety reporting
  • Follow and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with Pacific Coastal Airlines and regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned by Cabin Safety Leadership

 

Qualifications:

  • Customer Service experience (minimum 2 years)
  • Valid Canadian Passport or proof of citizenship
  • Must be able to obtain a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identity Card
  • Excellent English language written and oral communication skills
  • Be equipped for the physical demands of the position
  • Comfortable working onboard single Flight Attendant aircraft and small cabin environment
  • Must be a minimum height of 5'2" and maximum height of 5’11”in order to complete all standards required
  • Must work independently without supervision
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must complete an intensive initial training, practical evacuation drills and emergency drills including first aid and live firefighting successfully
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds unassisted
  • Capable of working long hours for extended periods of time
  • Able to travel away from home, with schedule changes and on call duty days

Note: Priority is given to applicants who have had previous Flight Attendant experience and/or training.

This position is for WestJet Link Flight Attendants, Calgary base operating out of the Calgary International Terminal. As a solo WestJet Link Flight Attendant, you will fly to destinations within the WestJet network, on aircraft operated by Pacific Coastal Airlines.
